Purpose of the Role:
Working as part of the IT team, the role provides second and third line support for the firm’s business applications, and builds and maintains in-house solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform. The role combines day to day application support with development work, and is central to the firm’s continued investment in its application estate.
Key Responsibilities – Application Support:
- Provide second and third line support for the firm’s business applications, including Aderant Expert (practice management), iManage Cloud, Intapp Time, Autologyx, Philips SpeechLive and Tungsten Power PDF
- Administer, configure and maintain those applications, including user provisioning, permissions, workspace and matter structures, templates and integrations
- Manage application updates, patching and release testing, coordinating with the business to minimise disruption
- Investigate and resolve escalated application issues, working with vendors and third party support where necessary through to resolution
- Act as a second point of specialist knowledge across the application estate, ensuring no single application is supported by only one person
- Support and maintain the integration layer that connects Aderant Expert to other business systems, including Intapp Time, Autologyx and iManage, currently delivered through Dell Boomi
- Monitor integration jobs and data flows, investigate failures and reconcile data between systems
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles for supported applications
Key Responsibilities – Development:
- Design, build, test and deploy solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse
- Develop and maintain workflow and automation solutions that remove manual effort from fee earning and support services processes
- Build and maintain integrations between the firm’s applications, using APIs, connectors and scripting
- Develop reporting and dashboards from application and business data to support management information needs
- Apply appropriate development practice to all builds, including version control, environment management, documented solution design and testing before release
- Work with the Apps Manager and the wider business to gather requirements, scope solutions and estimate effort
- Work alongside third party delivery partners on project implementations, and take on the support and ongoing development of solutions once they are handed over to the firm
Key Responsibilities – General:
- Ensure the firm’s IT systems are available at all times
- Implement and ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures, including data protection and information security requirements
- Ensure confidentiality is respected and maintained at all times
- Provide high quality IT customer service to all users across the business, by phone, email and face to face
- Participate in IT meetings, regular one to ones and IT projects

Experience:
- Demonstrable development experience, with a portfolio of solutions built and supported in a live environment
- Hands on experience of the Microsoft Power Platform, in particular Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
- Experience supporting or administering business applications in a professional environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Entra ID
- Understanding of APIs, connectors and application integration
- Confident and clear communicator with technical and non-technical audiences
