About the Role
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, including document production, audio typing, diary management, filing (electronic and paper), archiving, email and telephone handling.
- Prepare and distribute electronic and hard‑copy meeting packs.
- Assist with client billing, payments and basic accounting entries, including running reports.
- Provide support with occasional event planning.
- Undertake general administrative duties as required, ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time.
- Comply with firm policies and procedures, including Law Society and SRA requirements.
Although this role is to be based in our Sheffield office, you may be required on occasion to work from any of the firm's offices. Reasonable notice will be given for such a request.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in a similar position, legal administrator, secretary, or legal assistant role.
- IT proficiency and strong typing skills.
- Previous diary and email management experience.
- Good organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure with a challenging workload.
Desirable Experience:
- Accounts / SAGE experience.
- Previous experience using a document management system such as iManage.
