BD support for fee-earning teams
- Support and collaborate with the BD mangers to implement business development strategies to build on existing client's relationships and attract new clients
- Monitor ROI of BD activity through investment proposals and marketing expenditure reports.
Support to BD Managers
- Maintain a robust pipeline of business development activities
- Monitor and report on business development performance metrics
- Assist with data collection for legal directories, accolades,
- Provide day-to-day support to BD Managers by responding to emails and diary management
BD&E Team ongoing activities
- Support business development managers & events to implement strategy in line with firm and departmental business strategies and action plans
- Build and maintain relevant relationships across the business
- Competitor pricing analysis in terms of costs and pricing
Social media and website
- Support with editing and maintaining website
- Support with creating, editing and maintaining content for social media across the firm, including preparing copy and supporting fee-earning colleagues with content
Tender
- Support BD managers with the creation of tender submissions and fee proposals
External profile
- Coordinate with external resources to design advertisements, in both printed and online publications
- Support in the creation of Legal Directory submissions for relevant teams to align with team strategy
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities and industry trends
- Keep pace with developments in the legal industry including products, services, personnel and technology.
CRM system
- Actively engage the fee-earner colleagues in personal data updates from contacts and clients
- Ensuring all systems and weekly reports are updated accurately and completed on time.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience in business development, preferably within the legal or professional services sector
- Strong understanding of the legal industry and market dynamics (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities
- Proactive and creative approach to delivering support to BD Managers
- Experience of using social media platforms
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage own time and expectations of others both internally and externally
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels in a fast-paced environment
- A desire and willingness to learn new systems and technologies when introduced by the firm
